Odisha's vision 2036: Over 3 lakh suggestions received

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government has received responses from over 3 lakh people, both from within the country and abroad, through email and WhatsApp regarding the state's development vision for its centenary of statehood in 2036.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi sought public input for creating a comprehensive vision document for Odisha's growth by 2036, aligning it with India's national goal of becoming a Viksit Bharat (Developed Nation) by 2047. Expressing his gratitude, CM Majhi thanked the people of Odisha for their valuable contributions.

The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) shared that the state has employed Artificial Intelligence (AI) to systematically evaluate these suggestions, ensuring that all inputs are considered for inclusion in the state's long-term development strategy.

The public feedback was gathered through an innovative citizen engagement platform and included contributions from a wide range of stakeholders, such as students, professionals, government officials, organizations, and prominent personalities. The suggestions focused on 17 key developmental areas, setting the foundation for sustainable growth. Key priorities identified for development include agricultural advancements, rural development, improved irrigation systems, better market connectivity, environmentally conscious mining operations, community welfare, support for women entrepreneurs, gender equality initiatives, tourism infrastructure, urban modernization, disaster management, and sustainable energy adoption. This approach reflects Odisha’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to enhance citizen-driven policymaking and sustainable development.
