Assembly's Winter Session From Monday

BHUBANESWAR: Winter session of the assembly is scheduled to commence from Monday with opposition BJD and Congress eyeing to corner the ruling BJP on a host of issues including the recent mango kernel deaths and law and order issue.

The winter session of the 17th Odisha Assembly will continue till December 31.

Leaders of all major political parties attended an all-party meeting convened by speaker Surama Padhy here on Monday. Chief Minister and leader of the House Mohan Charan Majhi, opposition Biju Janata Dal chief whip Pramila Mallik, and Congress legislative party leader Ramchandra Kadam among others participated in the meeting.

“We deliberated extensively to ensure a smooth and productive session of the Assembly. The meeting was successful,” Padhy told journalists.
