Odisha Film Awards Conferred For Three Years

BHUBANESWAR: The State Film Awards were conferred for three years from 2020 to 2022, on Sunday.

Eminent writer, director, and theatre artiste Ananta Mohapatra, noted cinematographer Srinivas Mohapatra and popular comedian Jayiram Samal received the Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Award for lifetime contribution for the three years, respectively, reports OTV. 

For the Best Film category, 'Sahid Raghu Sardar' bagged the award for 2020, 'Pratikshya' and 'Daalcheeni' for 2021, and 'DAMaN' for 2022.

Debasish Patra was honoured as Best Actor and Kavya Kiran Shukla was felicitated for Best Actress for 2020 for the film 'Raghu Sardar'. Deepanwita Das Mohapatra was recognised as Best Actor for 'Pratikshya' for 2021, with Suryamayee Mohapatra winning Best Actress for 'Daalcheeni'. Babusan Mohanty was named Best Actor for 'DAMaN' and Lopamudra Mishra received the Best Actress award for 'Boura Hata Baksha' for 2022.

The awards ceremony featured Governor Raghubar Das as chief guest. Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida and Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.
