CM Majhi Disburses 'Subhadra' Assistance To Over 20 Lakh Women In Phase III

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday disbursed Rs 5,000 to over 20 lakh new beneficiaries each in the third phase under the ambitious ‘Subhadra’ scheme at Sundargarh.

In the first phase, the financial assistance was given to over 25 lakh beneficiaries and, in the second phase, to over 35 lakh women. So far over 80 lakh women have received Rs 4,000 crore.

“Subhadra Yojana is a well-thought-out and beautiful step to empower women. The Odia culture is a reflection of Jagannath culture. In the Sri Jagannath culture, Maa Subhadra is the embodiment of equality and strength. All the mothers and sisters of Odisha are the embodiment of Maa Subhadra for me,” CM Majhi said.
