President Murmu Offers Prayers At Puri Jagannath Temple
BHUBANESWAR: President Droupadi Murmu visited the Puri Jagannath Temple on Tuesday, worshipped the deities. The President prayed for the wellbeing of the citizens of the country.
In a humble gesture, she walked to the shrine from the Jagannath temple office. This walk was similar to her 2022 visit, during which she covered nearly a kilometre on foot to reach the temple.
During her visit, President Murmu interacted with the large crowd along the Grand Road, waving at well-wishers. Speaking to the media afterward, she shared that she prayed for the prosperity and well-being of India's citizens.
The temple's chief administrator, Arabinda Padhee, confirmed that the visit was smoothly organized, with the shrine temporarily closed to the public during the President's presence.
